Public Notice: Board of Education Open Seats
Anyone interested in running for the two (2) seats on the Board of Education, which will become open effective July 1, 2026 due to the lawful expiration of the term of the current BOE trustee, for the term beginning 7/1/26 and ending 6/30/29, please contact Kelly White, District Clerk, at 631.849.7517. Packets will be available beginning on March 16, 2026. The deadline for submission of completed candidate petitions is 5 p.m. on Monday, April 20, 2026.

2026 - 2027 School Calendar Now Available
Rocky Point Day Vendor Applications Now Open
UPK Lottery Application
For the 2026-2027 school year, there are tentatively 66 half-day program seats and 80 full-day program seats available. The lottery drawing will be held on May 21, 2026, pending NYSED funding approval. Preschool participation has yet to be determined and specific school placement or AM/PM seats for half-day students cannot be guaranteed. The Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School will not be a placement option. The deadline will be May 1, 2026, to submit an application for the UPK lottery.
In order to register for Universal Prekindergarten in the 2026-2027 school year, you must be a resident of the Rocky Point UFSD. Additionally, children must be four (4) years of age on or before December 1, 2026. Please complete the pre-registration survey below in order to be included in the lottery drawing.
***NOTE: Students that are eligible to attend Kindergarten in Fall 2026 may not register for the PreK lottery. Three year olds are not eligible for the lottery. Transportation to and from UPK is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.***
