TITLE: Assistant Superintendent, Probationary 12-Month Position
LOCATION: Rocky Point UFSD District Office
EFFECTIVE: July 1, 2025
REQUIREMENTS:           
The individual should possess:
•    Commitment to improving outcomes for all students
•    Excellent communication, human relations and strong leadership qualities
•    Ability to articulate a clear vision and work collaboratively with staff, parents, community to achieve district goals
•    Previous experience as a districtwide or building administrator preferred
•    Appropriate NYS certification – SDA or SDL  
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Responsible for assisting the Superintendent of Schools in all aspects of district administration
•    Key member of district leadership team
•    Oversee various districtwide responsibilities including recruitment, organization, and appraisal of staff
•    Assign and schedule instructional and non-instructional staff in conjunction with building and district-level administrators
•    Maintain positive and respectful relationships with parents, parent groups, school volunteers and outside agencies
•    Participate in district-wide activities, in-service workshops and committees, as appropriate
•    Make recommendations on appropriate staffing levels and collaborate with the Superintendent of Schools and Assistant Superintendent for Business in preparing the annual district budget
•    Assist in ensuring the implementation of all rules and regulations of the Board of Education and the Superintendent of Schools 
•    Maintain all records and reports, as required
•    Fulfill all responsibilities prescribed by labor, education and other applicable laws
•    Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent of Schools
