Empowering Students with Box Out Bullying
Rocky Point Middle School students took part in an interactive theater presentation complete with relatable characters and multimedia visuals to empower them to be stand-up citizens and key players in ending bullying.
Box Out Bullying, a national touring organization that specializes in combining research-based bullying prevention with dynamic live theater, performed an impressive show to highlight the negative consequences of bullying and ways to confront and change these behaviors.
“The sixth and seventh graders were engaged through auditory, tactile and visual learning modes, to further gain insight and tools in navigating bullying situations,” Principal Dawn Meyers said. “We are grateful to our PTA for supporting this important visit that certainly captured the attention of our students.”
