Wish You Were Here!
The Rocky Point High School Class of 2025 embarked on the first trip for the senior class since 1997!
The trip from March 10-13 was enjoyed by 84 students who stayed at Universal Cabana Bay Resort and spent the first two days at Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios before traveling to the Magic Kingdom.
According to Principal James Moeller, the students had an amazing time making lifelong memories and connections with their classmates and staff.
“We spent the entire day at each of the parks and sampled the wide range of cuisine within the parks and at City Walk at Universal, Mr. Moeller said. “We logged over 10 miles each day but there were no complaints as the students enjoyed everything the park had to offer. Islands of Adventure featured many rides and attractions including the Incredible Hulk Coaster, VelociCoaster, Hagrid’s MotorBike Adventure and Dr. Doom’s Fearfall. At Universal Studios and the Magic Kingdom, there was even more to explore.”
Mr. Moeller experienced a proud principal moment when the tour company representative was extremely complimentary of Rocky Point students’ behavior throughout the trip.
“They truly represented the best of Rocky Point,” Mr. Moeller said. “Student conduct set the bar high for what we hope will become an annual tradition.”
A special thanks to social studies teacher Mr. Eichler and Assistant Principal Ms. Lawson for a tremendous amount of behind-the-scenes legwork to turn this trip into a reality.
