Rocky Point High School congratulates senior Matteo Gravinese, who has been named a Semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. This accolade recognizes Matteo as one of the nation’s most academically talented high school seniors, providing him with the opportunity to compete for one of the National Merit Scholarships to be awarded next spring. Matteo also earned a perfect score on the ACT.  

The National Merit Scholarship Program is a distinguished academic competition that honors the top high school students in the country. Semifinalists represent the top 0.5% of the state’s senior students. Semifinalists must meet certain requirements to advance to Finalist standing and demonstrate continued excellence in their academic pursuits.
