“I will think further to go further.”

This was just one of the encouraging ideas presented at a kickoff and planning workshop on Sept. 26, as the Rocky Point School District embarks on year two of its five-year Strategic Plan.

Staff members and student leaders Matthew Blaising, Phoebe Graham, Chace Mangino and Carson Williams are embracing past successes and moving forward with new objectives in the 2024-25 school year. They took part in team building and challenges, role playing, a look back on the first year of implementation, a review of the IMP(P)ACT report, small group discussions and more. A brain exercise involving their pinky and thumb taught them the importance of brain breaks and how they can incorporate simple acts of holistic wellness into classroom lessons and life.

At the end of the session, each group shared more ideas and a synopsis of what they have planned for the year.
