Rocky Point High School students Sean Abernethy and Katelynn Mathe were each named Employee of the Month honorees by the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology.

The duo, who attend the Gary D. Bixhorn Technical Center in Bellport, received the honor in their CTE Program for the month of October. Sean is a student in the Art, Design & Visual Communication course and Katelynn is a student in the Carpentry, Restoration, Construction & Home Improvement course. 

The title of Employee of the Month was established to recognize those students whom their instructors would want to hire.  Students selected have great technical skills, show the instructors professionalism and have the desire to be trained.  

Being selected as an Employee of the Month is an honor, and the RPUFSD congratulates both Sean and Katelynn for serving as role models among their peers.
