New Assistant Plant Facilities Administrator Named
The Rocky Point School District has named Mr. Claude Robb as the new assistant plant facilities administrator. Mr. Robb has been a vital member of the school district for more than eight years, serving as a maintenance mechanic. In this role, he was involved in all aspects of building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electric, HVAC, refrigeration, sheetrock, painting and locksmithing. He was also instrumental in working with outside contractors and vendors, which included projects such as asbestos abatement, ceiling lighting and bathroom renovations.
Mr. Robb’s extensive knowledge and experience in facilities management make him an exceptional choice for this role. He will directly oversee custodial, maintenance and grounds personnel and assume many job duties previously held by Mr. Paul Martinez who is retiring at the end of October. Mr. Martinez has dedicated nearly 10 years of outstanding service and commitment to the Rocky Point School District, and his contributions have been invaluable.
“Mr. Robb’s extensive knowledge and experience in facilities management make him an exceptional choice for this role, and I am confident he will have a positive impact on the Rocky Point school community,” said Mr. Chris Van Cott, Rocky Point’s assistant superintendent for business.
