Frank J. Carasiti Elementary School students learned all about sock hops, juke boxes and the most popular dance in 1958 – the hand jive – when they celebrated 50 days of learning on Nov. 19. 

Led by Principal Jason Westerlund and Assistant Principal Nicole Pletka, decked out in a leather bomber jacket and a poodle skirt, respectively, students and staff joined in the fun with their own 1950s-inspired attire.
