Opportunities Ahead for JAE Graduates
JAE’s Moving Up ceremony recognized 190 students who will transition from fifth grade to Rocky Point Middle School in September as sixth graders. Principal Mrs. Linda Greening and Assistant Principal Mr. Benjamin Paquette welcomed everyone and lauded the students for this significant milestone in their academic journey on June 24.
Students Harper Albertelli, Izzy Cascione, William Fishman and Michelle Rizoff led the pledge of allegiance. They were followed by the Fifth Grade Select Chorus “High Notes” led by Mr. Craig Knapp, in the Star-Spangled Banner. “High Notes” also performed “It’s Our Time,” “Memories” and “Onward!”
Mr. Paquette congratulated the school’s Achievement, Triple C, Public Service and OAG Civic Ambassador honorees, followed by each fifth grade teacher who spoke of their students and the special year they had together, congratulating them on moving forward and encouraging them to take on the opportunities of Rocky Point Middle School.
