Students in Mrs. Jennifer Gordon’s sixth grade Family and Consumer Science class at Rocky Point Middle School were selected to create a handsewn Teddy Bear to include in the time capsule that will be presented at Rocky Point Day on May 21. The number 30 on the bears’ jersey represents the year 2030, the year these students will graduate from high school. Students who helped with the project are Lauralai Brown, Sofia Fedurina, Elliana Harz, Layla Lambert, Brenden O’Brien and Kelsey Smith.
“These bears allow students to express themselves freely while grasping the concept of a lifelong skill,” said Mrs. Gordon.
