Rocky Point Middle School once again showcased the writing and artistic achievements of talented students by publishing the winning entries in the Lois Lowry Contest Booklet. Students were honored for their efforts at a special ceremony on May 30 with families, teachers and peers in attendance. This is the 21st year of this successful event.
Contest advisers Mrs. Eileen Fioto and Mrs. Patricia Scott welcomed the students and presented each of them with a congratulatory certificate. Congratulations to sixth graders Kaylee Anderson, Blake Barth, Lauralai Brown, Liam Cordova, Braelynn Egenberger, Riley Fernandez, Tyler Green, Ali Guarino, Olivia Prevete and Christian Trammell; seventh graders Alexis Angelo, Marjorie Hanna, Luke Persen and Jiselle Sinclair; and eighth graders Ava Aragones, Savannah Bullock, Mahaer Chugh, Jayna Cohn, Natalie DeTurris, Minnie Dluginski, Gwendolyn Graham, Abigail Hansen, Charles Hinst, Michael Horn, Lily Mayer, Madelynne McCarrick, Jakelin Medrano-Hernandez, Isabella Mollineaux, Finley Monahan, Joseph Prato, Kamyla Ramirez, Lily Rau, Alissa Russ, Aleeza Sheikh, Samuel Staunton and A.J. Wainwright.
