Three Teeny Awards for RPHS

Rocky Point High School theater/musical students attended the annual Teeny Awards held at William Floyd High School on June 9. They were accompanied by teachers Jaimie Mancini, Amy Schecher and Jessica Spitz. Rocky Point students competed against 21 other participating schools and were nominated for several awards and won three top awards.

A huge congratulations to the following:

* Lead Role in a Play: Derek Bergmannn in the role of Elwood P. Dowd in “Harvey”.
* Supporting Role in a Play: Laurisa Roalef in the role of Dr. William R. Chumley in “Harvey”
* Outstanding Performer in a Play: Olivia Carley in the role of Parlor Maid in “Pygmalion”

“We collectively work so hard to produce our shows and are so proud of our accomplishments and for the recognition from East End Arts and the Teeny Awards,” Ms. Mancini said.
