Several featured soloists included Maya Alexander, Derek Bergmann, Story Camacho, Olivia Carley, Serena Carley, Darren Castellucci, Maya MacCarthy, Emma Maher, John Nadeau, Joshua Pardo, Ava Sivillo, Markuz Tiburcio and Alexa Vassallo. The evening concluded with a stellar performance by the 11th and 12th Grade Band. Their opening piece, “Danse Bohémien,” featured the xylophone team of Matteo Gravinese and Kristian Hald. Other soloists through the band’s program included Danni Gervasi (flute), Charlotte Jackson (flute), Cohen Pitre (trumpet), Ella Reyes (piccolo), Jennifer Sandusky (flute), Micah Santiago (flute) and Paul Shackelford (trumpet).

A congratulatory message from Rocky Point Music Department chairpersons Mr. Craig Knapp and Ms. Amy Schecher read: “The continued development of our student musicians since their concerts in December is remarkable. It was a joyful night of high-quality music making. We are very pleased with the effort and talent displayed by these incredible student musicians. We are very lucky to have such an extraordinarily hardworking and dedicated music faculty at the Rocky Point High School. Thank you to the families of these amazing students for all of their encouragement. Thank you to all of the administrators and Board of Education members in Rocky Point for their continued support of our music programs.”

“It was bittersweet for us to direct our Rocky Point seniors for the final time,” Ms. Schecher added. “Mr. Butcher, Ms. Spitz and I were so fortunate to work with these groups of students. We wish them all the luck and hope for them to experience the highest level of success in all of their future endeavors.”
